Their platform processes large volumes of real-time traffic ensuring accurate, efficient and scalable ad delivery. Founded in 2010, they are private limited company located in Mumbai, India.
Business Challenge
With a rapidly expanding customer base and growing adoption across multiple digital channels, the client’s infrastructure was expected to handle millions of requests during peak periods. Client’s digital advertising platform experienced intermittent instability during high-traffic periods while delivering targeted ads across client applications and websites. These issues included elevated 5xx/4xx error rates, temporary service unavailability and inconsistent ad-delivery performance.
LogusIMS Solution
LogusIMS conducted a detailed root cause analysis which revealed that ECS tasks (i.e., instances) were either not available or not ready to take load during sudden traffic out bursts and peak usage periods. Instance-level & application-level health checks were missing, causing instances to receive traffic before they are fully ready. This was augmented with delayed autoscaling response resulting in inadequate capacity at critical moments.
LogusIMS executed a focused DevOps and infrastructure optimization initiative, across the client’s ECS-based infrastructure, that addressed the root causes through instance-level and application-level health checks, enhanced autoscaling aligned with traffic patterns and improved load distribution across ECS tasks (instances). This strengthened the system’s ability to handle peak loads, improved task readiness, and ensured traffic was routed only to fully ready/healthy instances.
As a result, the platform became significantly more stable, resilient to large traffic bursts and capable of delivering ads consistently across all client environments without impacting uptime or user experience.
